thats all..just wanted to know if anyone on here lived close by to me. This forum is great, but having someone you can meet and discuss things with in person makes all the difference.

I do go to meetings, but sometimes, its not enough.

At the meetings I go to we exchange phone numbers. We are supposed to call when we need to talk to someone. That's part of our recovery. Being brave enough and desparate enough to make a phone call to someone who is nearby and can see our situation for what it truly is. Not how it looks on the internet. Have you tried calling someone at your meetings yet? Are you willing to give it a shot?

I do use my phone list....dont get me wrong.....i have met some wonderful people there, and a few of them ihave become very close with. They just dont live that close to me.
My meeting is about 40 minutes away and they live very close to the meeting.

Im looking for someone i can meet for coffee, and sit and chat f2f.

My once a week meeting is great, but sometimes, i would just like to meet a friend not at a meeting, if you know what i mean.

I live in Florida so I'm no help .....but I was wondering if you looked for CoDa meetings, Alanon, families-anon and Nar anon meetings..........maybe if you search for different meetings you can find one closer to you and maybe find people who live closer.
