a Little prayer please
Hiya all,
He called me this morning from downtown, full of relief.
They postponed his trial once again, until March 24th, or 27th or something.
His lawyer said since he did not ask for a continuance, it would put them beyond the date(?) and they will have to drop all charges in March.
Got me. I don't have the faintest idea what that all means.
I just hope it's true.
Now my next prayers will be that he can find a job.
Which is triple hard to do with the economy AND a few felonies.
Thanks to you all, :ghug2
We ALL know how Sober Recovery prayers work!

That had to be a relief Moose. I know consequences are necessary but its much harder to accept when you've witnessed the good, and know that a little mooslet will be depending on him soon.
I know times are tough (even more so in your area) but if one wants to work, work is out there. It may not buy the picket fence and SUV just yet, but we all started somewhere. Besides, just think of how much tougher it WOULD have been to find a job IN jail.
(((Hugs)))

I'm glad the trial is postponed and hope that, by March, it IS past the statute of limitations. I know that I was dragged into court 3 times on a possession charge, and on the 3rd time, they dropped the charges.
I will continue sending prayers, and hope he can find a job. I know it's hard, these days, but not impossible. The combination of him being clean and willing, along with our prayers is a pretty strong combination
Hugs and prayers!

He's made it this far, he'll make it to a job and be just fine.
I like the outcome, he's already been working to turn his life around and this will let him continue....AND be a dad to the new baby when he arrives.

Sorry I'm coming to this a bit late, Moose, but never fear. Your boys (and the family) are in my prayers everyday, so I already had him (and you) prayed up!
It's not ours to figure out why and what has happened with the trial, but I do know that your son's HP is right smack dab in the middle of it all.
Praying for a job for him and continued sobriety, and blessings on that precious little baby that you're going to spoil rotten.
Hugs,
