please help?need some advice
 

Hi my partner went into rehab last week after detoxing for a week.He is a heroin addict had been clean 5 years then used 3 times in two days and decided he needed help.I just want to know as I am not an addict or have never been to rehab so would he like to get mail from me or should I just leave himalone ?I am really missing him and want to support him but also don't want to smother him.Please help?did you find it beneficial to hear from loved ones?

A lot of rehabs will have their own rules about it. Personally I don't think sending a card is smothering, just letting him you know are still there and you
still care. It is nice to have support when you are trying to help yourself.

Yea, addicts can make the world a bit more confusing. lol
