OT - Prayer request for Anvil
As most of you know, Anvil, Hank and Bucky (the dog) have gone to WI to see Hank's dad who is dying of cancer. They just arrived there last night.
She just e-mailed me and Darryl (Hank's dad) is in the ER with possible blood clot in his lung. I told her this was serious, but a VERY good sign that he's made it to the ER and can be treated.
She is feeling pretty helpless and trying to be strong.
I told her I was coming here to post this, because even if prayers can't change the outcome, I know they can bring comfort.
So, please say a few prayers for Tess (anvil), Hank, Darryl and Nancy. I'm sure they would all appreciate it.

She just e-mailed me back, and he has a collapsed lung. They are admitting him, but I explained to her that this is MUCH less serious and easily treatable, although uncomfortable.
She's not able to get on SR, is using her phone to e-mail me, so I will copy and paste all these to send to her.
When I sent her a copy of what I posted, she thanked me and said she already felt better....thanks everyone!

I sent Tess a copy of the responses and she is a bit overwhelmed and grateful.
I did forget to inlcude Bucky in the prayers
He is my "nephew" and they call him the "therapy dog" because he brings so much joy to Darryl and Nancy, so please include Bucky-the-beast in the prayers.
Hank is having a really rough time, and so is Tess - her ex died of cancer a few years ago and she saw a similar decline.
I am so grateful for the friends I have made here, and that we can help each other. Tess, Hank and I are all recovering crack addicts, and would never have found each other if it weren't for SR.

Love ya Tess! I know what you're going through, because I was right beside it with my own family member for months dying of cancer. Cancer is an evil, unfair, painful thing. But know that ANGELS are there waiting for your FIL. Be the best comfort that you can be right now to your DH, your MIL and yourself. You can't see it now, they can't see it now, but he will forever be with you WHENEVER you choose to listen. Whenever you choose to STOP and talk to him. He will become your guardian angel, always watching out for you. Hang in their girl - but relish in the blessings that he has brought into your lives.

Thanks everyone. I haven't heard from her, so hope she is finally getting some rest.
((Callie)) - when Tess's ex died, they were still very good friends. She "talks" to him all the time and this has helped her deal with Darryl's impending death. As someone who talks to my mom (who died 17 years ago), I understand and am glad Tess and I aren't the ONLY ones who talk to our loved ones who are no longer with us.
