Gram passed at 105 Thursday

No sooner had a posted a reply Thurs. that I got the call gram died in her sleep at home. Her caregiver there. Our houses back up to each other and I went right over. Another caregiver and Hospice came. Grams cat had gone missing on Sat. and was a the door. So sad and I am miserable.

Have not talked to AH in prison yet. This may very well change everything.

Thanks for listening.

Dear Momsrainbow,
My condelences for your loss of a loved one. Gram has had a very full life and died peacefully in her sleep. I know it's not very conforting when you miss someone badly but try to think that she has done her time and lived it to the fullest.
May she rest in peace.
Hugs
Carine

Big Hugs and Prayers

Momsrainbow, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my beloved grams a year ago and still miss her, but sometimes when things get tough for me (which has been alot this last year) I swear I can hear her love and wisdom come thru to me.

I am sure your grams will be like an angel on your shoulder when you need her. She will live on in your heart and mind, and if you listen carefully enough, you might just hear her whisper in your ear when you need comfort.

Know that you are in my prayers.

Hugs, and condolences on the loss of your gram.....

Did I read that right that she was 105?
If so...what was her secret to such a long life?

Momsrainbow 10-04-2008 04:17 PM

Moose & Imperfect -your birthday was the same as grams-Sept. 23rd.

Gram never smoked-had one beer in her entire life and worked hard. Ate everything that we are not supposed to eat now.

Until the very last day her mind was sharp as a tack-she still had to remind me of things I was supposed to do (I am 63) and feel 203. She could still discuss politics and world affairs.

Only 2 elder cousins close that she kept in contact with-everyone out of state. Will be coming in at a later date for a memorial. Gram wanted to be cremated-can you believe?

As for AH in prison for only 100 more days-I have not got a clue as to what I am going to do now. I would like to move out of state-without him but that is another long story-not for now. Just at a complete loss right now.

Thanks to all of you.....

(((Momsrainbow))) I missed this earlier, but my prayers and condolences go out for you and all who loved Grams.

Sounds like she had a wonderful 105 years, and how blessed you were to have had her that long.

Hugs

Prayers for you and your family for your loss; your gram sounds like she was an amazing woman. I'm glad that you were able to be so close to her - for both your sakes.
