Thanks Amy for sharing. Joey ( my son ) has never had to grow up because he has always had my parents. Now finally at almost 42 my parents are letting him take the consequences of his own actions. Maybe there is finally a reason for me to have some hope.

(((Rozied)))

I wasn't always an addict, though certainly had abused my fair share of substances. I will be 47 in a couple of weeks....it's never too late for us to learn from our mistakes and work hard at doing better.

Never give up hope, sweetie. As long as he's still breathing, there's a chance for recovery. Now that you and your parents are all on the same page, there's even MORE of a chance.

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

Count me as another who would not consider sending money to anyone in prison, under the circumstances.

Being barefoot is the least of his problems.

Dear Amy, Thanks so much for sharing. I have not given up hope. If my parents are finally done enabling him I know he has a chance.

Rozied I need to tell you that I am sponsoring a lady that is 53. She used meth, crack, coke, heroin, alcohol and anything else she could get her hands on for many many years.

She found her bottom 7 1/2 months ago.

So your son will find his when HP says and not one moent sooner.

Call if you need to vent or just chat.

Love and hugs,

Dear Laurie, I KNOW it will be in God's time, not mine. All I can do is pray everyday that he will finally see the light. I know my son is a believer in spite of all his drug use & the things he did to support his addiction.
