Visit With My Parents

Yesterday I took my 3 yr old grandson & went to see my parents. My mom made spaghetti, we ate & all in all had a really nice visit. There was no arguing. We even spoke about Joey without arguing. Chris & I had decided not to argue with them anymore when it comes to Joey. We swore we would just let it go. So when they told me they went to see Joey lasy Wednesday I said Oh you didn't tell me. My mom said No we didn't because you just get mad. I said I'm not mad. How is he?
Well after that was said it opened the door for her to tell me everything that was going on. I just listened & didn't say anything. All I can do is pray my son will be alright oneday.

Your son is in my prayers too, Rozie, as are you and your family.

I'm glad you had this good day with them. It's nice to remember that we CAN have good days with those we love and wonderful when we do.

Hugs

I, too, am glad that you had a nice visit. Trying to change others ways of thinking just doesn't work. I am happy that you found a way to see your parents without feeling the need to argue. Good work. Hugs, Marle

Hi Rozied,
long time no see! Glad you spent quality time with your family, and also glad you sent this letter. It always feels good to express ourselves...I'm sure you felt lighter afterwards...

Thanks again everyone
It is funny but once you reach the point of acceptance it is not so hard. For 20yrs we have been bucking horns over this but yesterday when I didn't get angry when I found out they went to see him, we had a nice visit.
I want you guys to also know I keep you & your loved ones in my prayers too.
Oneday by the grace of God we will have reason to celebrate.
