The first time I did meth, I thought, OMG, THIS is what I've been missing all these years.... Now I finally feel "okay".....
For one reason or another I never felt okay, be it this or that.
So when someone gives you a solution you've been searching for,
for your whole life?????? That feels pretty good.

I guess if you've never felt that part of you missing, it's hard to understand.

But then that part changes, and you start getting high, to feel the high, not to just feel normal, then you have to get high to feel normal..

THAT WAS "ME" anyway....


We look to what we need to get to..... We often don't think
of consequences first.....

For me staying off meth requires always playing it out to the end.
If I do this, then this is what is going to happen....


That's my experience anyway..

I don't understand that so much either, I won't try to..
I think we are all just wired different.

You'd think everyone would have that thought in their head, before they used again.

you WOULD think that, unless you're an addict who hasn't hit bottom. For some reason, we keep thinking "I won't let this get out of control again" or "I can handle this and no one will know".

Right now, she is using and she thinks she's getting away with it..still has a job, her kids around her, a place to live. I'm only saying this, because this is probably what she's thinking. Some of us get into recovery because we just get sick and tired of using and what comes with it. For me, it wasn't until I faced some serious consequences that I even thought of recovery.

Addiction makes no sense.

I don't know what her bottom is, but I pray she finds it soon. In the meantime, PLEASE take care of you. You have a lot on your hands, and I know it's hard, but you don't deserve to be dragged down again if she wants to go that path...neither do her babies. who are very lucky to have you.

I KNOW this is hard for you, but she's got to learn to sink or swim on her own.

I remember after one of RAS's relapses (which happened only days after completing rehab) his answer to "WHY?" was "I thought I had one more run in me"




I could have cried...oh wait now I remember...I did cry!

Life gets easy. We get bored. We forget. We use.

That is the addiction talking. We must always be vigilant so we dont get suckered by our addictive minds.
