OT - update on my uncle

My uncle had surgery on his carotid artery yesterday and is doing fantastic...should be going home tomorrow.

The nurse said he's the "youngest 91-year-old" she's ever seen. He's whining about pain...my aunt said "they slit your throat, it's gonna hurt, so get over it!" He's been up and walking around. Does NOT like the hospital food but is making himself eat.

Thanks for all the prayers....once again, they worked!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

That great that he was able to have the surgery - lots of compassion from your aunt - lol

Probably just what he needed -

Older people are just so funny and full of surprises and spunk!

Praying everything continues to heal and he does well on his recovery.

HUGS,
Rita

Both my aunt and uncle have a terrific sense of humor...guess that's why they're so much fun!!!

I haven't talked to them today, since she was staying at a motel by the hospital. She says they are "dinosaurs"...no cell phone, no computer, heck, not even an answering machine. I'm sure she will call when they get home.

Thanks again everyone!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

Amy, I am so very happy your uncle is doing so well. The Power of Prayer is amazing.
It is so great when people who reach ripe old ages do so good. I know my parents are 88, and most of my dad's sisters & brothers are way up there & so is my mom sister. They are from good stock. It sure makes a person happy to see people in their 80's and 90's living a full life. I really learn alot from them.
