Called My Dad
I wanted to let everyone know I thought about what a few people said to me & Sunday night I called my dad. My mom goes to Bingo on Sunday nights & my dad is usually home. He didn't answer & I should have known he wouldn't be in the house when the weather is so nice. He stays outside or in his shed till it gets dark. In did leave a meggage on the machine. Noone called back yet but thats OK I made the 1st move. Life is too short to let anything come btw us.

I, too, am glad you called your dad.
When I was growing up, my mom, dad, and I always said "love ya" when we were getting off the phone, walking out the door, whatever. It wasn't until my mom died, that I realized how grateful I was for that, because I know that's the last things we said to each other on the phone 3 days before she died.
We don't like to think of our loved ones dying, but it showed me that life really IS too short to let anger ruin a valuable relationship.

We are a very loving, close family also & I am not going to let my AS's behaviour come btw us. Thank you for helping me see this so quickly. I am just so worried my parents are going to love him to death.

I'm also glad you called your dad. I guess we can't control others just like our addicted sons. So~~Keep that family together and if takes you to do it~~~keep on calling!! Hugs and smiles, Bonnie

I to am happy you called, I know it made you feel better inside. They got the message even if they didn't return the call because you by now they read the other thing you sent also. (((Hugs))) Something good has to happen here for your sons sake.....
