Those two programs have saved my life.

Now I trudge toward 28, lol

Life is more than grand, life is LIVING. Wow. Slowly, not quickly, just working on oneself's and things do change. My alcoholism is under control, AS LONG AS I CONTINUE on my 12 step path.

My codie side is doing pretty good also, lmao Now that is a little harder, I still, after 24 years, have this tendency to want to get in 'there' and FIX THINGS, rofl. But I am much better today at 'curbing' the "fix its." lol

I swear, alcohol took me to the end, and that was much easier to work on than this meddling codie I can be, roflmao. I'm still growing and changing there also.

I have come to believe that LIFE is an OPPORTUNITY for me to be the best ME I can be, so I better take advantage of it, even when it means walking away from someone I care deeply about, but who is TOXIC to me. I figure, someday down the road, if we are suppose to meet again we will, but I can no longer afford the hurt, guilt, anger, etc from having a toxic person in my life.

Thats what we do here, encourage each other to take the correct path for the individual and share how we have done it, are doing it, or would like to do it.

Thank you all for sharing your ES&H, it helps me also.

I am clean and sober 22 years and have 25 in Alanon/Naranon. And the codie part of me is the hardest to keep "under control"! It is so easy for me to slip back into old behavior without even knowing it.
