Prayers and love coming your way - for relief from Mr. Moose's medical problems, for comfort and peace for you, and for good doctors and new medical findings.

Moose, I was away for the weekend but you can be sure that my finest Moose prayers are going out for Mr. Moose.

I know this man and it is not in his nature to be befuddled and arky barky, so just keep working those steps and I'll keep sending out prayers and maybe one day soon he'll feel better.

I pray also that they can find the right medication so he never has a seizure again.

It's amazing how those steps can see us through any kind of troubled time.

Huge Moose size hugs to you and the mister. Love you guys, really I do.

(((Moose))))

I'm sorry I missed this one.
And of course my prayers are with Mr Moose.
Prayers of healing; of complete refuah shleyma -- renual of body and spirit,
For him,
and for you.
I know how this must take a toll...

Fifteen weeks, huh? That seems like such a long time for a change of meds!
Please keep us informed along the process. Let us know how he's doing.
And let him know we are all rooting for him! That we care.

Shalom, my friend!

According to a world renowned psychiatrist who led a seminar I once attended, Those anticonvulsant meds can make you "just as dumb as a box of rocks". I can attest to this fact, since I was once on lamictal for a year (for psych reasons, not seizures) and could barely remember to pull my pants back up after using the toilet. Its good that the docs realize its the meds. There are many anticonvulsants and they don't all have this side effect, so its just going to be a matter of finding the right one, and having patience. Best to you and your guy (and your kids, of course!)

Yow Sleepygoat!

That's what he's being changed to. Lamictal.
From Dilantin to Lamictal.

It sure is shooting his memory and judgement.

Moose,

Obviously coming to this late as I was out of town all last weekend, too, and have spent the week just trying to catch up at work.

So, how is Mr. Moose today? You know that y'all are always in my prayers, but I like to pray specifically, so I'll be asking for His guidance in getting the "just right" medication that will best treat him and the problem. And prayers that Mr. Moose will begin to feel better and his head clearer.

And prayers for you, too, cause caretaking is hard. And you aren't kidding. We do have to "practice these principles in all our affairs." The 12 step program comes in handy EVERYWHERE!

Love you,
Hangin' In

Moosie,

I'm showing up a bit late too. Big hugs and prayers to you and Mr. Moose too. Sorry to hear he's a bit befuddled. It's good that you aren't going up to Moose Island just yet - better to be on home turf until the meds are balanced.

Be extra gentle with yourself.... it's almost harder being the caregiver than it is the care getter...

I was outta town and missed this. You guys are definetly in my prayers. Health problems can really make a mess of your serenity. I know cuz we got plenty of those around here. And you have enough going on already with your kids. Your courage and serenity are inspiring.

You guys are in my prayers, every day.

Mike
