Yeah, I'm thinking I've taught him to be respectful, not to talk to strangers, to always try his very best, to be kind to others, not to throw things in the house....I just never thought to tell him not to stick his face in a mud puddle. It's almost funny, but the consequences are making it a bit hard to laugh right now. However, the IV has taught him what I didn't. He hates needles. I don't think he'll be drinking any more puddle water.

Hope your little guy gets well soon. It's amazing the things they can think to do sometimes, huh? As for the other... good luck. Hold your boundaries... you have a right to happiness. You sound like a wonderful loving Mom... just remember what a wonderful life you want for that little man and that means making the right choices for YOU and for him.
