Update and prayer request...
Well, I know I don't post here too much anymore, but, I wanted to fill you in.
Trevor has been going to school, and doing very well. He had a short slip, but, did get right back on the horse and went right back to work and school again. He is graduating in May from an Office Management program. It's a 9 month certification program, with job placement. The state paid for it, (well, actually, the school is *still* waiting for the payment!)
Anyway, he is graduating in May, as I said. He's top in his class. He even got an award for perfect attendance! We framed it!!! :rof
So, he starts his intership soon. He went for an interview today. He was all dressed up so nice!! Got a haircut. Looked SHARP! He and his teacher went to AAA. That's where the teacher puts the top student each year. Trevor loved it!
Because he's a convicted felon, the woman wasn't sure if they could take him or not. She had to check with someone in higher management. It had never come up before, so, Trevor *may* get it, but, might not too. The teacher will still get him a job. There's a lawyer in mind for the next position. But, Trevor *really* liked the office, the people and, yes, the cafeteria, LOL!
So, friends, if you would be so kind, would you send out some SR prayers to the universe for Trevor?
I know it's in G*D's hands. But, I also know that SR prayer have something special to them. And it would mean so much to Trevor if he got this position...
Thank you all...for sharing this journey all these years...and for allowing me to share this blessed time with you all.

Fantastic news that Trevor is doing well and headed in good direction.
You've wanted these successful steps for him and now he wants them too.
How proud you must be.
He is making his life work. He has people who support and believe in him.

Awww Teach, I have happy tears in my eyes for you and Trevor. What an inspiritation Trevor is to all of us here.

Ahhh, my heart just warms right up hearing this about Trevor. I feel like his very pleased aunt. 
I'm happy for him and happy for you too, Teach, I know this has been a long journey and it's just such good news.

I have to admit, I'm as excited as if it were *me* waiting to hear if I got the job!!!

And Ann, you've been his "aunt" for a very long time, now!
And, yes, Spiritual Seeker, I *am* proud of him. He's finally doing what he's always been capable of doing. Now that he's making these steps, perhaps he'll realize his full potential. He's always had it in him; he just never believed in himself, like so many of our loved ones...

I think our addicts get so caught up in their troubles that they don't see a brighter future any where on the horizon.
Look! The veil has lifted and he can see a goal, something to look forward to, a future!

It's so good to hear that Trevor is doing well and really does seem to
"get" it now. His recovery and progress must make you both so proud.
I'm proud too, sweetie. God love'em, I sure hope he gets the job he's working

I'm so happy for both you and Trevor. As a mom, I know how this makes your heart feel....so happy for him.
And like you said, when we're in the thick of the addiction with them, sometimes we just can't see that there can ever be any good come out of it. But this is proof. And it's another confirmation that our HP's timing is not our timing. He has the plan and we have to have faith in that.
Prayers for Trevor and this job, praying that his HP will put him exactly where he needs to be. And if it isn't this job, Teach, this I bet his HP has something even better.

Prayers are going up for you both. He has worked hard and deserves to be recognized for that. I hope he gets the job that is best for him. this is the part I hate the most. when they finally seem to be understanding what they need to do and their past still hurts them. "Sigh".
We have to believe that he'll get what he needs. If he's worked hard and he doesn't get this job then God has another even better direction for him.
so happy for you both that he is where he is so no matter what a celebration is in order for today!
