Today's share
Today is my niece's 4th birthday. She is such a gift to me!!
We are going to see my sister and celebrate with her. It's a blessing for today she'll be clean and able to enjoy being with family.
The visiting times conflict with my Nar-anon meeting, so I'd like to share this reading from Courage to Change:
"Let me make this day a celebration of the spirit. There is a part of me that retains a childlike sense of curiosity, wonder, enthusiasm, and delight. I may have lost touch with it, but I know it exists. I will set my problems to the side for a little while and appreciate what it means to be vitally alive."
When we look for the joy in life, it's there with open arms.

Well I'm full of birthday sugar and had a great day with my family.
The visit went well and I could feel the hope and joy in the room with other families visiting their loved ones, too.
The best thing I could do was let my sister find her way to her own recovery.

Glad you are able to do this. Setting aside the difficulties and celebrating life - sounds like science fiction to me right now, but I know I used to be able to - so proably I will again. Thanks' for the inspiration.
