that is the one thing i have learned as i make this journey...not just with the A, but in my life.
Be Gentle with myself.
Accept myself.
i am ok..right where i am today..with whatever it is i choose today...however i am feeling today.
there is no right or wrong..
there is no timetable..
We dont have to be perfect...(although we might try awfully hard to be!.and boy, that is a chore! :-)
i think its so important to allow ourselves to be ,to feel and be ok with whatever and wherever we are at .right here..right now!
Trying to be "strong" when i am not feeling strong..
pretending not to care when i do, ...
putting on a brave face, when inside i am really hurting...
hurts no one else more than it hurts me.
Especially for those of us dealing with relationships and addictions, we are already so raw and wounded, its important to not feel judged ....we
just want to be heard and accepted.
We will all find our way, in our own time.......
thanks for accepting me right where im at today.

being gentle with myself ...give yourself that same gift!

I once watched a mom and daughter at a park. The daughter, maybe 8, was trying to do something with flowers - braiding dandelions is what it looked like. And she was too uncoordinated, her hands couldn't quite pull it off yet. She got frustrated and looked like she was going to cry.

Her mom said, "Hey, honey, lighten up. You did the absolute best you could, and that's all any of us can shoot for. Let's go have ice cream."

So to everyone:
