Rehab for Daughter

I am trying to look into some 3 month rehab programs for my addict daughter. Does anyone kow anything about a place in canada called Clear Haven? I plan on looking into it. It's supposed to be an excellent program and very affordable, I Hope.

So if anyone has had any personal experience with this place I would appreciate any feedback or info I can get. Thanks in advance

Sickatheart,

Welcome to SR. Another mother of an addicted daughter here. I'm glad you found this board. There is great support here, so I hope you'll stick around. Read the "sticky" posts at the top as well as the threads people post on here. It just feels good to know there are people going through the same thing.

There are several folks here on this board who are in Canada, Ann being one of them. I'm sure she'll be along soon. If not tonight, then tomorrow because she's usually around daily. Maybe she will be able to provide you some info.

Prayers and hugs for you and your daughter. I hope she'll agree to get some help if she hasn't already.

It looks like a good place to me too, although I am not familiar with rehabs in Quebec. The type of program offered is one that I am familiar with and is excellent. It appears to address physical, psychological and emotional problems as well as the problem of addiction, and they often all tie together.

Prayers for your daughter, in the end any program will be about as good as her willingness to participate.

Hugs

does she want to go?... does she still get high?... if she is 19 and you are SERIOUS... (I am 30, but this is what I would do) Do not declare her on your taxes. Have her address changed so it seems like she is either homeless, or at least you are not giving her a home to live in.. what you can do now, is get medicaid... if she is high, she can go to the hospital and get emergency medicaid... its kind of like a scam, but you know what? we live in America, and they DO NOT make it easy for anyone to get help the right way....
