Peaceful

I have to say that my year has started out great . Finally my mother and I came to a decision that my niece had to leave . It was two years two long of all the madness with her crack addiction . My mom dropped her off at detox and I had told her to make arrangements to go to a shelter from there . It has been so peaceful in my home for the last three weeks . She is happy where she is and so far she is sober , my mom has spoken to her a couple times a week. Her and I are still not on speaking terms which is ok by me for now . She was really raging and angry when I told her she had to go but I couldn't make my mom do it !

It is crazy the difference in my mother already , she is in a good mood every day now !! 8

Some of my co-workers have noticed the change in me also . I love how my home is at peace again . I love how I don't have to hide my purse . I love that I can come in and just put my car keys down on the table and not worry !!! I love that all my electronic are not in my trunk etc.. you get the picture LOL

I hope that everyone here can get to where I am it feels great and I wish it for everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's great! You can't do it for them and often the best way to help them is to make them stand on their own two feet.

Good for you.

It usuallly is utter chaos having an active addict in our home. There is only one way to stop the insanity. I am glad you and your mother discovered what that was.
The problem w/ hiding anything of value is forgetting where the hiding places are.
Pretty soon we go looney. When it gets to this point, something has to happen.
Acton feels great doesn't it !!!???
