No worries.... I don't see a lot of polls here.

Actually, I'm wondering if cocaine and crack are the same thing..... ??? Maybe it's how it is used.... I don't know. Just like heroin and pain killers are of the same family... it's just how they are used/prescribed.

One of the times my son was trying to get off heroin on his own he took perks to compensate (I see no logic in that) anyway he said the withdrawal from the perks hurt more than heroin. go figure.

Yeah... coming off those drugs are so so so bad. I think that because they are "pain killers"... and prescribed that the A's don't think it's so bad to take! But then one dose turns into tripling it cause the high is not as intense..... and bam..... you are hooked!

My xah... he was taking 60 vicodin a day! That meant he was taking 5-6 at a time.... 5-6 times a day!

Crack is a form of cocaine that has been chemically changed so it can be smoked, rather than snorted. When you smoke crack, the chemicals reach your brain in 10 to 15 seconds.
When you snort cocaine, it takes 10 to 15 minutes to feel the effects.

Hi, crack is cocaine that has been mixed with baking soda and cooked until it forms a little rock. It is the same drug as cocaine only in a rock form that can be smoked. A Crack high is a bit more intense initially-gives a bigger initial "rush" and the high is shorter lived-that is why a person wants to get high again about 10-20 minutes after the first hit. Snorting cocaine is the same kind of high, but it is not quite as intense and the high feeling lasts a while longer. Injecting will give an even more intense rush than either of these. Essentially, it is the same drug and has the same effects no matter if it is snorted, smoked, or injected.

I am like Ann. My daughter originally started with oxycontin, but has used any opiate including heroin, diluadid, morphine, fentanyl, vicodin, methadone and the list goes on. And she did admit to spending last winter smoking crack and drinking. So multiple addictions, including food. I just can't see her ever getting better. I know the opiates are so tough to get off from. Physically and mentally addicting. Seems that opiate addicts really struggle for a long time even after they are clean and the relapses are so much more deadly than with cocaine. Marle

Don't think this fits in the poll... The only thing mine isn't madly in love with is pot... Everything else is his DOC... however this last time he was shooting cocaine.

I had to laugh.. My Ex DID... everywhere he could find the dirt to do it in.. he grew Pot.....
