Prayers that this can be his time.... and perhaps that you can find some recovery in face to face meetings during the same time. I found them to be ....life saving.

I'm so happy that your son is admitting his problem and is seeking help for it.
I pray that this is his time, as well. It's so hard when our children hate the person they become and can't find the strength to be different until HP steps in and gives them a boost. I'm so glad that your son's "boost" came at this time. Keep the faith, as we all do with you.
Hugs,
Linda

Miracles happen every day and my prayers go out that your son finds his own personal miracle.

Happy New Year to both of you.

Hugs

I'm so happy for you and your son that he has admitted that he has a problem and has reached out for help. It is when they want it for themselves that it is truly their time to enter recovery. Remember to keep taking care of yourself in the meantime. Let us know how it's going. I'm so hoping that this is his time.

Just wanted to give the group an update. He's still in detox because methadone is such a hard drug to kick. The Rehab center won't take him while his blood pressure is unstable, there's sweating and vomiting, so it will be this Thursday of Friday. His attitude is still good..still strong.

Prayers for everyone....thanks

It is horrible to detox from, I pray when he makes it an impression has been made and his decision to stand firm.
You are both in my prayers,
susan
p.s. they are probably giving him clonidine for the BP and withdrawl symptoms, they have come along way w/ detox meds in the last 15 years.
