Kris, I hope you have found your way to a women's shelter. You would be safe there and they can help you through this. I believe this was suggested before, but now might be a good time to just go and let the police handle the rest.

Hugs

Oh loves, this is unbelieveable. I am so glad you are ok. I used to live like that with my childrens father. He would threaten to kill me all the time, so I know your fear.

At least he will be behind bars and hopefully in jail a LLLLOOOONNNNGGGG time.
They just get worse and worse you know. The hatred in their hearts is so great that murder is not beneath them.
Where does this hatred and anger come from? I have often wondered how a man can become such an enraged animal that he would kill his own family.
My children's father got so bad that he is now in prison for life. Life for raping and beating a woman nearly to death.
I am so glad he is where he belongs. I don't have to live in fear any more.

Do keep us updated.
(((Hugs to you)))

Loves, I can't imagine the terror that you must have felt. They need to lock that maniac up and throw away the key.
Take care and stay safe. Maybe you need to get an alarm system on your house.

Hugs.............Lo

Thank God you weren't hurt any more; he could have easily killed you. This is a man the police need to take seriously and I hope they are now.

You know that I work with the local police esp. with domestic violence. All those who said you should go to a women's shelter are correct. Things are taken a whole lot more serious when you go to them for help. This is not a time to just "lay low"; you need to lay low in a place that can help you. He needs to be behind bars and you absolutely cannot go home until he is and that is nothing to take lightly.

If you ever give him a next time, it might be the last time for you. He's wacked out and who knows what he is using. If he is doing meth, his mind is probably completely blown.

Stay out of harm's way and as I have said before, "Do not underestimate your opponent!".

Just keep yourself safe!

Hugs and prayers,
Marteen

No wiser words could be said. You are not armed and dangerous. He is.

Again, very very wise words for any opposition you ever face in this life!

Hope you are healing and feeling better.

Kris,
Hope you are doing ok, or as well as can be expected this morning. I have prayed for you all day yesterday and first thing this morning. I will keep you in my prayers all day today. As praying that he is caught soon, and they keep him locked up for ever.
I am glad the police are finally taking this seriously and not thinking it is made up.
Stay as safe as possible, and please seek out the help of the DV agency in your area. They can help you, in so many areas.
You are to special to have anything else happen to.
Love you,

There's a few.

Once he's sentenced you can live free and clear.
He should go away for a long time.

Thank goodness you didn't suffer any physical harm.
Mental anguish is enough.

They can add "terroristic threat"-another felony-to his charges.

I hope you are safe today, and i am praying those cops catch the sack of s**t.

Maybe that state's attorney will catch some hell for minimizing the situation if you call the media.

Save your own life, no law enforcement can get there quick enough, no "rescue" can be quick enough! This nonsense and horror and this douchebag has got to STOP!!!!

I love you girl! I'm praying for your safety and your healing. If I was there.............
I agree with the others. I would get a gun to protect yourself. This guy is crazy!
I don't trust the police to handle this the best way-get this lowlife out of existance.

I hope you feel better soon.

Well.....a little update. I'm still in a safe place and what happened MADE THE NEWSPAPERS!! The ex has a federal warrant out for his arrest and is listed as armed and dangerous!! Last heard he has headed back to Mississippi with his dad and I took no time in telling the police and gave them the correct address! Hopefully its just a matter of time now.

With a police escort I met my landlord at my place to see about getting a new door put in. There's finger print dust EVERYWHERE!! What a mess! The police are calling me almost every hour or so to check up on me and make sure I'm ok and to ask if I've heard anything. For some reason they seem to think if the ex hadn't received that phone call with the sirens blasting in the background I wouldn't be here right now. God only knows who made the call because he didn't recognize the number..........but whoever it was........I just know that call was sent from above. That was my way to get away. Prayers do get answered and God always leaves you a window of opportunity. You just have to realize it's there and go for it!

Thank you for the continued support and prayers. I'll keep everyone posted.

Here's the artical!!
Cops search For Kidnapping Suspect

By Joe Seelig of Highlands Today

Published: December 28, 2007

A Kissimmee River Estates woman was safe Thursday after reporting her ex-boyfriend kidnapped her, dragged her from her remote Highlands County home Wednesday night and then drove her into Okeechobee County.

Highlands County Sheriff's investigators have issued a "be on the lookout" for David Michael Yates, 40, of last known address, 2265 Cross Roads, Lucedale, Miss.

Sheriff's Lt. Tim Lethbridge reported that at 8:23 p.m. they received a 911 call from the victim that her ex-boyfriend was trying to break into her home. Then the telephone went dead.
Yates and the victim reportedly lived together for four years prior to a breakup about six months ago. He did not take the breakup very well, Lethbridge said.

"When the deputy arrived there were signs that the home had been broken into," Lethbridge said.

Deputies canvassed the neighborhood and learned that the victim drove a red pickup truck, but none of the neighbors heard or saw anything.

At about 9:30 p.m. a boyfriend of the victim's daughter reported he got a telephone call from the victim who asked him to check on her dog at her house. She would not answer any other questions and the line disconnected after about 10 seconds.

The victim's name and address were being withheld as the case falls under the domestic violence statutes because they once lived together as a family unit.

At about 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, the victim called the sheriff's office and reported what had happened and that she was safe.

"She stated Yates broke in," Lethbridge said. "He forced her into her own car and drove her into Okeechobee County."

Lethbridge would not confirm how the victim was able to get away from Yates. She reported that Yates held her at knife point.

"He held the knife under her chin and made threats to kill her," he said, but said she had not been cut. "She had some minor injuries from being dragged out to her car."

"She was able to go get help in her own vehicle," he said.

Lethbridge said he did not know how Yates got to the victim's home.

Sheriff's Central Records confirmed Thursday that Yates had a 2004 arrest for domestic violence battery involving the same victim.

When arrested his charges will include kidnapping, home invasion and carjacking.

Lethbridge agreed it would be best if Yates turned himself in.

"If anybody has any information as to where he is, we're asking them to call the Sheriff's Office.

The number to call is 863-402-7200.
