Rose got out of Hand!

Oh boy did I pull off a bad one! The night before Christmas Eve, I had a few people over, I barely ever touch wine, maybe a glass of white the odd time, but never red...it really hits me bad. Well I decided to have some red and a few to many....I fell down a flight of stairs onto a concrete floor and knocked myself out, they thought I was dead until they finally got me to come to.

My whole left side from head to toe is all bruised up. I feel so ashamed with myself, I was already in a bad way then I go and pull a stunt like this.

Rose,
We all do things sometimes that we wished we didn't. With things not going well it made it easy for you. I am glad you are okay, your pride will heal along with the other injuries.
Take care of you and know I have done things like this when I was not doing great.
Hugs to you

Don't you ever do that again

There, does that feel better now? Put down the guilt stick....and never ever do that again.

We all may grow up but we never seem to grow out of stupid things to do - and we all do it! It's a part of life but we try to learn from our mistakes!! lol

(you poor thing!)

I don't know what hurt the most, the guilt or my body! I guess it was a lesson learned, but I already knew how red wine does not go well with me....thanks for the skillet Ann but I just need to be threatened with it at this point.

"Most accidents occur within 5 miles of home."

(I read that quote somewhere, but I don't think
it even added in the odds of RED wine!)

Ahhh Rose, I'm glad you're okay....

Hugs, and ice packs....

For me, it wasn't the "type" of booze - but the "quantity". There are some drinks that just went down faster than others (though I was not a "sipper" of ANYTHING). The better it tasted, the faster I drank it.

Now, I love milk. But you will never see me sit down and drink 6 or 8 or 15 glasses of it in a row. But make that a rum and coke... egad.

I tried switching to yukky stuff like scotch (ptui!), but that didn't work, either - I'd have two, maybe three... then lose all my good intentions and switch back to the drinks I really like.

If this is a one-time thing, and you learn from it - then you are different from me. I just kept making excuses for my drunkeness(es) and would "try to do it right" the next weekend. THAT is how I am different from a "normie".... No normal drinker I know would keep drinking - even after having terrible consequences.

(((Rose))) Glad it wasn't worse - you could have broken your neck, woman!

So Rose, how does a diet coke sound? Just giving you some suggestions in case you decide to have a beverage on New Year's Eve.

Glad you're on the mend.

Hugs,
