Glad they found out what was wrong and took care of it so quickly. I was truly amazed that when I worked in the ER, we had people that came in, had their appendix taken out, recovered a few hours in the ER, then went home! I just read an article about a girl that had an appendix attack on a cruise ship...a navy ship came to her rescue and did surgery on their ship.

Hope she's up and about soon.

Moose - that is too funny about your son. It must have been nice to get paid for what you would have done anyway, huh?

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

When I spoke with her surgeon earlier tonight he said that the appendix was bad but not ruptured. She just called me from her room and is doing well.
She had already called her boss to tell him she won't be at work tomorrow. Things look good.
Thanks to all for your responses and most of all your thoughts and prayers.

So very sorry I'm late getting here with my prayers.
Work is crazy and I haven't had alot of time to check in.
I'm glad to hear they found out what it was and are performing
an appendectomy. Sending prayers of healing. You....breathe.
I know you were scared. We're here for ya.
Love,

I just got back from the hospital. They decided to keep her in the intensive care unit for today, and it looks like she will have to stay in the hospital for two more days.
Thanks friends.

When you mentioned her blood sugars, I totally understand why they are keeping her. Infection wreaks havoc with diabetics. I've seen so many people come in with an infection and their blood sugars usually go way up....even when it's always been controlled. I'm sorry she has to be there for a couple of days, but very grateful that she is being closely watched.

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

Sorry I am late - I remember how afraid I was when my daughter went in for her appendicitis. The pain is difficult to watch...but thankfully, the recovery can be amazingly quick!

((hugs))

Hello friends,
Mr cmc just brought her home and she's so glad to be out of the hospital. We're all so happy to have her back home in time to celebrate Christmas.
Thanks sooo much for all your posts, caring thoughts and especially your prayers.
