ALBANY -- A Troy lawyer who admitted to robbing eight banks in five counties to feed his heroin addiction was sentenced Tuesday to more than five years in prison, federal prosecutors said.
Andrew McKenna, 38, was sentenced for stealing $26,617 from banks in Schenectady, Lake George, Malta, Nassau and Bennington, Vt., in a string of robberies during autumn of 2005. In all of the incidents, McKenna approached tellers with a note threatening he had a gun, prosecutors said.
He pleaded guilty to the robberies in March. In addition to 65 months of imprisonment, U.S. District Judge Lawrence E. Kahn ordered McKenna to pay $25,757 in restitution.

Bank Robbery (and possibly ARMED bank Robbery) is pretty serious stuff.
They don't mention it but I bet he loses his license to practice law.... all for $26,757?
How mediocre is that?
