and I have to work at 3:00.

Want you all to know I love ya and be careful out there.
I don't know where you are, but here in the Ohio River Valley...
people can't drive for _ _ _ _.
So, don't forget your earmuffs, scarves, and mittens, and be careful out there.

Book -

Sending extra hugs and prayers to you and all who are getting hit with the winter storms...please be careful.

Amy

I believe it is heading this way, so I am running my errands early and then cozying in by the fire.

Hang in there, Book, it's only a gazillion days until spring. :D

greeteachday 12-15-2007 07:59 AM

Be careful sweetie and enjoy the spirit of the season that the winter weather can bring...If we can just look past the idiots on the road!

mooselips 12-15-2007 02:04 PM

Snowing like the dickens here.
I've already stocked up for the weekend, and made chili, and some good cookies today....

Kind of a nice cozy weekend....
I'm not driving anywhere, sticking close to home.

We may get 20 inches they're saying before it all ends....

outonalimb 12-15-2007 02:11 PM

Ohhhh....man.....:abck:

The low tonight is going to be 14. And we're supposed to get 5 to 8 inches. It hasn't hit yet though...and they HAVE been known to be wrong on occasion!!!

I don't mind snow. BRING IT ON, I SAY !! . But the snow must bring another 10 degrees of warmth with it. I insist !!

Bundle up my codie pals!!!

splendra 12-15-2007 02:31 PM

you take good care too (((bookmiser))))

it is rainy and cold where I am right now...we need the rain so bad where I am but it is still sitting by the fire weather to me.

mooselips 12-15-2007 02:39 PM

(they're wrong ALOT...but I'm in the mood for a good snowstorm!!!)

I may even bundle all up tomorrow and make a snowman.

marle 12-15-2007 03:32 PM

Yeah they were wrong. They just updated us here in NE Michigan. We were initially only supposed to get 1 to 2 inches. It is been changed to 11 to 17. Geez. Everyone take care. Hugs, Marle

Lobo 12-15-2007 03:45 PM

I love snow.......Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow.

Actually, I went out today and on my way home I got caught in it. Everything went fine until I came to the hill in my neighborhood and started going sideways. Well, I knew this was not going to work so I backed up, slid a little, (thanks goodness for all wheel drive) and drove around until the salt trucks came into my neighborhood. It was really pretty riding through the snow and I did stay off of the hills.

Be careful out there...........Lo

GiveLove 12-15-2007 03:48 PM

Snow angels, everybody, snow angels

Stay warm and dry. Marle, WE got the 1-2 inches but it seems to have picked up steam across the plains. Be safe!! And please put in a good word for me for next weekend...we have to fly to Michigan for Xmas and I'd just as soon make it there :)

kelsh 12-15-2007 04:15 PM

More Snow last night...

It started out as small tiny flakes and then got big enough to see and started covering up the sidewalks and roads again.

My daughter was out shoveling when I got up. Her husband was helping her...nice of them. :Dance7:

We are supposed to have more snow showers but it is still melting right now.

I am closed up in the computer room with both our dogs while the rest of the house is getting cleaned. The dogs aren't too happy with me. :a043:

We get a lot of ice under the snow which makes it slippery. We live on a hill and a lot of cars have a hard time getting up the hill...we have our studded tires on all four wheels and drive the battered up pickup in the bad weather.

My husband rolled it once when he hit black ice...there had already been a wreck and he came up on it and before he knew it he was in a field of snow...upside down in the truck and then very gradually it turned over onto its wheels...he had lots of dents but was able to drive it home. :puppet

He was on the way to get our grandsons but their dad called just out of the blue and I told him I thought he had been in a wreck that I heard on the scanner and it was him. Rick brought the kids so hubby just had to drive home.

Hope all of you have a good weekend. A week from Monday is Christmas...it can't be that close can it????

kelsh

Oh goodenss...that can't be right!
(I guess I COULD look at the date, eh?)

Sure is coming fast!

Still snowing, we have maybe 3 inches here in Northern Ohio....

Elana 12-15-2007 04:41 PM

all prepared. Cars filled with gas. Gas in the can for the snowblower. For the first time in YEARS I have a CHRISTMAS TREE.. and it is up and the cats and dog LOVE it.. and my Best Cat (Naughty) is with me and thank
God because I rely on him.. and Oliver, his protege is with me.. and the other three who lend support and hold me close every night.

And Atka, the guardian spirit, may get her rug for sleeping next to the bed tonight instead of her "spot" in the other room.....

and we will be fine no matter what because I have loyal cats and a loyal dog and many have so much less.. and I have God watching me and I know that.

I never used to know that. I do now.

guineapigjude 12-15-2007 04:49 PM

The storm is headed my way for late tonight and into tomorrow. Wrapping presents, making presents, and watching football for this little codie!

cece1960 12-15-2007 05:43 PM

We're not getting a lot of snow, but instead that "wintry mix" crap. It snowed about 2" this afternoon, now its raining and icing. Its supposed to turn to sleet and back to snow over night.
I'll take the snow, but the ice I won't deal with.
I was suppose to head two hours north (NW PA) but canceled. About an hour north and up they're getting almost a foot.
BF says I'm a whimp...says my four wheel drive could drive through it.
I think I'm rather logical. Its not driving that worries me, its stopping.
:)

CatsPajamas 12-15-2007 05:52 PM

More snow here too. I was out with the Indomitable Snow Beast - the big darn snow blower I bought a few winters ago. It does a good job, but like so many others we have a solid layer of ice underneath the snow. I was out a bit today - and the CRAZY people are out driving. It's just so hard to understand how people can FORGET how to drive in this weather from one winter to the next. Lots of red light running and sliding thru intersections. SHEESH.

Be careful out there.

You are, my friend...Snow and 4 wheelers are great...There is nothin" absolutely nothin" that works in ice...I am so glad you decided to be logical and stay put. We love our Cece and want her to stay in one piece!!!
