Maybe you should forget the tree and have a Festivus pole like that episode of Sienfield. "Festivus for the rest of us" by Frank Castanza

Glad you got a tree going - or at least what's left of it!!

Tree Day 4

The 3rd level of branches are all gone, leaving a gaping hole. Even with the twine anchoring it to the window frame, tree leans precariously to the left.

Son's GF brought over a sack full of presents. Hoping Christmas Cats turn their attention to rearranging and opening presents under the tree.

Angel is missing in action.

Have to update from this end.....................it's not only cats...........roflmao.............my new 6 month old 'puppy' (belgian shepherd) Mitch, been here 3 1/2 days now noticed the 'tree' this morning.

It is a small (4 foot) artificial tree, on a table in front of the window, a rather tall table. All of a sudden his front paws were on the table and that long Belgian nose was pushing on the lower ornaments, lol a very firm NO and I get this look of 'who me' but he reluctantly got down, so when he is loose in the house the tree will have to be watched, rofl fortunately at night and when we are gone he is crated.

Oh this is such a FUN time of year with our fur babies!!!!!!!

Don't you know by now the cats own you and think you have put that up EXPRESSLY for their amusement? roflmao

FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!!!!

Love and hugs,

Just an update....

Day 6. I surrender.

I have taken all the ornaments (what's left of them) off of the tree. I took down the lights and replaced most of the branches... some are still missing. I found the angel, bless her crooked-winged-little heart. She seems to have survived the ordeal, but may never be quite the same again.

I hung some of the nice ornaments on a few wreaths in the dining room. And now the cats are staying out of the tree. GO figure.

This thread is cracking me up, Cats.

Toby likes to help decorate the tree, then he sleeps under it and only plays with the ornaments on the bottom branches.
