OT will not be on much for a few days
Hello my friends,
Just wanted you to know I am still alive. I have not been on since Saturday.
The reason is on Saturday night I was have servere chest pains and went to the hospital, stayed to Sunday afternoon, with heart problems being ruled out. Came home and had soup for dinner, pains back, Monday morning I woke up & had oatmeal for breakfast, Pain back. Called my Dr. he had be come in sent me to the hospital for more tests. Ended up being readmitted, and having surgery last night. Turns out I had gall stones, and one of them was blocking a duct. When they took out the gall blander they said it was in very bad shape and almost ready to reputure. The first attack I had for this was on Friday night, thank god it did not go on for long, the pain was worse than when I had my kids.
I will be praying for all of you. I know I made it through this with the help of my HP, before going into the OR I asked him to guide the doctor and keep me as safe as he wanted me to be.
Take care and I hope to be back on by the weekend.
Hugs to all of you

Those male nurses are neat....the respritory nurses aren't bad either. I hope you will feel better soon. What an ordeal to go through! I still get angry with all of the technology of today and they can't find something like a "hot" gall bladder. I had one attack many years ago and laid on the couch and went on conscious. :praising
My old family physcian discovered the problem right away. He had none of this fancy technology back then. He actually saved my life. I remember waking up in the ER with him patting my cheeks trying to get me to wake up. He had this emerald green tie on and I have never forgotten that. dshake
Take care,
kelsh

Pam, I had my gall bladder removed when I was very young. Have the big old scar to prove it Glad that it was not something worse (though the pain is bad enough). Take care of yourself so that you can heal. Hugs, Marle
Ahhh Pam, what a rough few months you have been having. I'm so glad they figured this out...I know you will be feeling so much better soon. I totally agree...gallbladder attacks are the most painful things going! I found my second labor (all 30 hours) a breeze compared to the attacks.
Rest up...you're in my prayers. Gentle hugs

Pam,
I hope you get the rest and recovery needed - take care of yourself. I too had the same scare a few weeks ago, rushed to the emergency room thinking I was having a heart attack, had a catscan and blood work. The catscan showed my heart was okay but the bloodwork showed signs of a blood clot. I am now dealing with mulitple test to locate the clot but so far all seems good. When i went to my dr.s she had me go for a gallbladder scan (sonigram) and that showed nothing so she is setting up a binary scan of my gallbladder. I guess in time, I may be resting in your recovery bed!!
As hard as it may be, follow the directions of your dr. and allow yourself to be pampered!

Oh Pam! I feel for you, I really do. I had those attacks not to long ago and they so painful but even more SCARY! It really does feel like you are having a heart attack!
I hope you feel better soon and FOLLOW THE DOCS ORDERS! I know when I had mine out, I wasn't supposed to lift anything over 5 lbs for 6 weeks.
