No limits to our recovery
No limits to our recovery
This weekend my sons and I went to watch some rehabbed sea gulls and pelicans released. For the first 20 minutes they stood there, afraid to fly, walking closer to the croud of people and farther from the Ocean and freedom.
Then all of a sudden as we watched they all stretched their wings and ascended into the sky, and in a moment there they were souring high and above as everyone clapped.
That moment touched something within me in so many ways about freedom, change and letting go. Tears are in my eyes as I type this a feel the feelings I felt.
I relayed this to my aunt, and she shared how much my grandma (who was so much like me but passed away when I was 11) would have liked that and a book my gramma found inspiring when she divorced.
The book was called Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach.
Amazingly its short and you can read it online just by googling it, took me thirty minutes to read and its about a seagull who became outcast because he refused to settle for just being a gull. Its fabulous and I highly reccommend it.
Our life truly is limitless and what we make out of it
