Well talked with son...
Sounds like he's going to be going back to jail....eventually.

He didn't sound too perky....

What is...is...
If he goe, it will be the 4th time.

I must confess, I had a little slippage when
I spoke with him.....(my bad)



Anyway, to top it all off this evening, my cap/crown fell off my tooth, (a front one, naturally) and I had to go to the drugstore to get tooth cement... (this can ONLY happen on a Friday night, when the dentist isn't open until MONDAY...)

I was going to use super glue...but the last time I used super glue, I glued the dishcloth to my mouth holding the crown trying to get it back in....

Darn It.

You'll get through this, it just takes time to process, accept and let go again.

And it's no time to lose a tooth. It shouldn't happen on a day like today, that's just wrong.

Moose, I remember when I was little and my mom lost a front tooth from her denture and tried to superglue it on, only she superglued her finger to the tooth. Not funny at the time, but it became a family classic. Sorry about your son. Sending some prayers your way. Hugs, Marle

I really hope the best for your son. And if he is not guilty the truth will prevail. My son has been in prison most of the last ten years. He was released twice but went back. It is sad to say we do not worry about him in prison. Today he wants to do better and not go back. :praying

I, too, would have loved to see you with the dishcloth glued to your teeth When I worked in the ER, we got to see all kinds of superglue "incidents"...some were pretty funny.

After a good nights sleep, I woke up realizing,
I'm angry.

Yes, I accept he'll probably go back to jail,
I accept I have no control.

But gosh darn, it makes me angry,
only for the fact he started out SO good this time,
it just hurts my heart.

You know, I just have to keep believing that our HP has the big plan, just like Big Sis said with her example of paddling the canoe down the river, not knowing what is around the bend. I KNOW our HP sees what's down the road. I just know I don't always understand why he is picking this particular plan!

But you know, Moose, I look back and see all the times my HP has brought me and my family through, even when I thought it was a pretty crappy plan. Didn't bring us through in the way I WANTED it, but nonetheless, he brought us through. I'm pretty sure our job (mine and my kids') is to learn something from that. And for some of our kids, don't we just wish we could take that iron skillet and whack them over the head and make them get it!

You hang in there, Moose. I'm so thankful you have recovery under your belt.

And the picture of you with the dishcloth stuck to your mouth is priceless. You made this southernbelle laugh this a.m. And I pray you've gotten that tooth problem straightened. Only folks like us can have such fabulous timing.

Hangin's right, Moose. Somehow it's all in the plan and God has someone he needs him to meet, or who maybe needs to meet him , we never really know how that (sometimes stinkin' ) plan works.

And I'd be worried if you weren't angry. I've been angry at my son, angry at God and angry at the entire universe sometimes and I had to get angry before I could accept in peace.

He called this evening.
He just found out he got the job he put in for...
Building greenhouses all over the U.S.
In fact, next week, he'll be flying out to California.

He's all excited, me too, excited for him.

He doesn't know when he'll have to return to court,
so for now..
..I'm paddling up that river, Sis.....
