OT: My nursing license
OT: My nursing license
Since most of you know, I am trying to get my nursing license back, just wanted to update you.
Heard from the BON (board of nursing) Tue. I can apply for reinstatement after I have a mental/physical evaluation by an addictionologist. She strongly advised that I try to get my "legal issues" resolved before I do this.
I am on probation for 5 years, Feb. I will have completed 3. Part of my sentence was to "surrender nursing license" so I can't legally get my license back without violating probation.
I tried to get hold of my PO all week, and finally got hold of her today. She is going to send me a copy of my sentence and I will take it to the lawyer. I told her I was going to try to get off probation in Feb and she said "heck yeah" and even told me that when it goes before the judge, she will be there and tell them I've done excellent and she has no problem with letting me off probation. YIPPEEEEE.
I'm still aware that it may not happen, and I will have to wait for 2 more years (once I'm off probation, I'm a first offender and my record is expunged) but it looks pretty promising right now.
I'm staying clean and doing the footwork and letting HP handle the rest.
Hugs and prayers!

I love that the laws often take into account the work a person does to turn their life around and live better.
Whether or not this goes the way you want, you can be darn proud of your recovery and how good your life is today.
