Update on WEIRD job
I posted about how my son was taken for a job that was packaging porn magazines, and how upset he was with that.
Well, he did wind up talking to the director and the director told him, OK, but you MUST find something immediately! (he's in a halfway house. just got there three days ago)
So, they took him out and he found a job in a warehouse. GOOD!
I spoke with an alanon friend who's husband is a board of directors for this area. They're gonna have a meeting on this subject of recovering addicts working in places they need to stay away from.
My son said that the porn packaging company comes to the half way house and offers these jobs as under the table. Desperate men take them if they can't get anything else.
He stood his ground and HP blessed him with something else.
I am happy too.

I don't know your son, but I am so proud of him for standing up about this. And now that has led to someone looking into the whole issue and maybe resolving it before somebody gets hurt. One person standing alone can matter, your son does.

No such thing as coincidence, eh? How wonderful he has learned to set a boundary, even when doing so made him uncomfortable and cost him in real world money. You have every right to be proud of him... every lesson is a blessing.
