Thumbs up Hope for loved ones

Years ago I went to a doctor about a torn ligament in my knee. Before
he would agree to any surgery, he had me lie on the examining table, and
proceeded to twist my leg until my knee went "out." (OUCH!). Then he
brought in a colleague who did the same thing. (YEOW!). Finally, they both
brought in a 3rd colleague who wanted to "concur" with the other two, and
twisted my knee out again. I screamed, "Hey! That's enough! How many
doctors does it take to see that my knee is shot?!" That made them quit.
But I knew they were hurting me to help me. And I eventually I had a
successful operation.
No one wants to hear this, but Jesus Christ may "hurt" your loved ones
before He helps them. "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I
did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man
against his father, a daughter against her mother...and a man's enemies will
be those of his own household.... And he who does not take his cross and
follow after Me is not worthy of Me" (Matt. 10:34-38).
Whether we want to call it "hitting rock bottom," or "coming to wit's
end," or "at the bottom of the barrel," the Lord will allow many to go
through terrible pain and suffering before they are ready to "confess with
their mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in their hearts that God has raised
Him from the dead." But when that happens...what a day that will be!
Have a great day in the Lord, realizing the pain that your loved ones
are experiencing may be the very thing that brings them to the Great
Physician, for a successful "heart" transplant, and not just a..."knee jerk"
reaction.

Thanks Susan,
I really needed to hear that today. You spoke to my heart.

How are you doing today......thought about you over the week-end but with SR being down I couldn't leave you a message.

I'm a little down, but ok. Still no word from AD. Don't know what is worse--her not calling for birthday or worrying that she will! Cailee only asked for her twice, once at the party and once today, her "real" birthday. I guess there is truly noone she cares about at all. Her loss, but sure is sad for Cailee! I hope she is happy w/ the choices she has made!

I'll either be better or worse, got a meeting tonight!
