all is well

Hi everyone,
I can't believe it, I have been so busy that I haven't logged on since 7-28!
Much has turned around in a short period of time. Ad is home, sober, going to meetings, and HAS A JOB! (that she rides a bike to, lol - just picture the wicked witch with her basket)

I have been filling in for someone on a leave of absence in for another department in my company. I may be getting a new job I would like, because they have decided not to come back. Yeah!

Also, I am going to two face-2-face meetings a week, and giving Ad rides to a few meetings....

So, went on vacation, and didn't drive ANYWHERE for 10 days.... just walked back and forth to the beach.

Ad still on methadone... on a gradual taper. This is working well for her. She is getting a lot of support at the clinic as well.

Jeep, the visual of your daughter as the wicked witch on her bike just cracked me up.

I'm glad things are going well, and going to the beach is my favourite way to relax and spend any day.

You seem to have found a good place where your recovery and meetings are working for you and your daughter is in charge of her own.

I hope you get that new job, everything happens for a reason, yes?

Hugs

Jeep,
I am so glad that things are going well for you and your daughter. Thinking of your daughter riding the bike like the wicked witch, gave me a smile today.
I will be praying for both of you. Adding an extra prayer that you get the job you want.
Hugs

Jeep, What a relief to finally have some peace. I remember when my AD was in rehab out in L.A. everyone that lived there was provided with a bike with a basket.
At first she whined about it. After about a week that bike became her best friend. She guarded it like a new car. I like the witch with a basket.....only for my AD it was more like the witch started with a B. with a basket.

Cherish these times.........Lo

One of the ways that I see HP in action is that when I think about someone here I miss and wonder how they are doing, shortly they check in. You are one such person. So happy to here that things are going well for both of you. Hmmm, wonder if my daughter would do the bike and basket thing. She's been riding the RiverLine a lot and hoofin it. I will be nearing retirement age by the time she gets her license back. 10 years on a 3rd dui here...that's a long time.
