I am thankful for:

Being able to support myself with my job
For the love of my family and friends
For a program of recovery which has taught me that I matter
For being able to set and maintain healthy boundaries
My dogs and cats who bring joy and laughter to my life

And of course, I am thankful for cheesecake.

I am thankful for my life and the people in it good and bad, from who(m?) I have learned so much.

I am thankful for all the animals I have known, know now and will know in the future.. they add depth to my love and to my life.

I am thankful I have never been afraid to try anything.. and figure out I can do whatever it is I need to.

I am thankful for the experiences my X husband (deceased) and my XABF gave me because they taught me much; wonderful things, good things, bad things and horrible ugly things, and brought me to recovery. They gave my life scale.

and I am thankful I got it all done for today and I can sleep now.. and am ready to do it all again tomorrow.

I was just post elsewhere how my heart was full of gratitude today - now to try to put that in words.

Grateful for my HP's blessings in my life
Grateful of my wonderful relationships with my family and extended family (ex & my AH's ex's)
for the faithfulness of my recovery support family (my f2f family & my on-line family)

most of all for the fact that today I enjoy being ALIVE as so much of my life it wasn't so much that I wanted to die it was more that I just was in so much emotional pain that I just didn't want to live.

Tears! I am thankful for tears!

I'm thankful for the tears running down my cheeks right now!
Thank you ALL for reminding me to be thankful today.

I'm thankful for the sunwarmed peaches right off the tree.
I'm thankful that I can support myself and my children.
I'm thankful for my home.
I'm thankful for my children and my loving (but codie) family.
I'm thankful for the creative beauty that permeates my life.
I'm thankful for to begin consulting work.
I'm thankful for everyone who smiles today.

I'm thankful for me (that was a hard one), but I am. I am thankful for me - perfectly imperfect just like my HP made me.

Wonderful thread!

Just to be able to say, "I'm thankful..." takes our minds and spirit to a whole new place. It gives us all pause to reflect on things that make us smile and add a positive note to our everyday lives. We sometimes get so caught up in the drama created by our addicts, we forget these things.

We need to be reminded to remember the things we are thankful for!

I'm thankful for ALL OF YOU! your kindness and your wisdom. for keeping me hanging in there to do what I have to do for me. for sharing your stories. for giving me a laugh when I want to cry.

I'm thankful that my abf's sponsor said, "Now, I can see that Molly is working alanon. Her actions show that she's working the program."
Thanks everyone!

(of course, abf hates this
