Camp Codie - You CAN Die Laughing but It's a Great Way to Go
Camp Codie - You CAN Die Laughing but It's a Great Way to Go
I'm just getting myself adjusted to the real world again, but wanted to check in and tell you that I had a wonderful time with Mooselips, Hangin' In and CatsPajamas and honorary codie Mr. Moose.
I never knew 4 people could laugh that hard. More than once we almost capsized the boat laughing at that Southern Belle, Miss Hangin'. Lordy, that gal is funny with her hoopskirts and sack of grits. We shared our recovery, our complete lack of knowledge for the great outdoors, and about the finest meals I have ever eaten.
I'm holding back on pics until Cat gets here to see how she feels about having her picture plastered all over the internet, lol, but picked a couple that don't really "out" anyone.
The others should be home soon and will be adding to this, I am sure. All I know is that there is nothing better than spending 4 days with friends who are crazier than I am.
Just a few pics to tide you over until the others get here....
Been there, done that and now we HAVE the t-shirts, lol, and are getting ready here to head out to Picnic Island for the day, an uninhabited island made just for us...
This is Mooselips, Cat, me and Miss Hangin' In standing in the boat...not always a good idea, lololol...
And some mighty fine synchronized swimming by Moose and Cat...good thing they weren't drowning, Hangin' and I were laughing too hard to save anyone....
And a quick pose on Serenity Bridge that joins Moose Island to the next island over. Cat had to stand in the water to get this one...
We had perfect weather, a full moon that we watched rise every night, and enough wildlife to keep us on our toes.
There are stories, but my lips are sealed until they get here to tell you for themselves, haha.
Hugs

What great pics. It sounds as if you all had such a good time, you wished it'd never end. lol
What do the t-shirts say, and who's idea was that?
I'm sure Mr. Moose had a wonderful time, too, with such vivacious and fun-loving codies. lol
Love the sync swimming, too. Ya shoulda filmed it and sent it into that show- America's funniest videos. Who cares if you wasn't filmed in American?
You were Canadians, eh? I'd love to have went. I would have fit right in. Except for the delish dishes. I can't cook to save my arse. I bet the Belle can, though. All that southern fried everything. What a great retreat spot. I am definitely comin' next time. You can bet your butts on that.
Speakin' of butts, I haven't smoked a cigarrette in (today is...) 8 days.
You wouldn't believe how much better I feel.
So give your Woo Hoo's and I'll keep truckin' down that rca road (recovering cigarrette addict).
Much love,
Linda

Woooo Hoooo...You guys look great!. I said good bye to the last of our guests today and the rooms are empty...Come kayak here! I'll trade accomodations for learning how to create a spa day, it looks marvelous
Oh my, I just heard from Hangin' and she was on the flight from hell.
A storm diverted her to Nashville but then the plane flew back to Toronto for the night and she just made it home, finally, last night.
Now I don't think I'd want to be the flight attendant who had to tell that charming, hoopskirted lady of the south that she was heading back to the great white north, like it or not. The sack of grits would be flying and it just wouldn't be pretty, no sirree.
