Saw AS this Weekend
We Went To See Our Older S Son This Weekend Took The Younger Ss With Us. We Also Invited As To Join Us For Dinner. He Told Us He Had His 30 Day Chip From Na. I Didnt Ask To See It. Iwas Encouraged That He Had To Leave Dinner Early To Make His Oxford House Meeting. He Told Me He Was Elected Secretary. So From What He "says" Hes Better. Were Not Getting Our Hopes Up Just Yet. Hes Still Complaining About The Guys In The House , So I Told Him To Investigate Another. Im Still Giving Him Money, He Gets Paid Friday, So This Will Truly Test His Responsibility. Just An Update Nothing New Really, I Hope Everyone Is Doing Well.
Wonderful news in my book, that he is working a program and you got a visit.
This just may be his time to go all the way!!!!! I am rooting for your son -
Hip Hip Hooray!! Today he is doing fine Hooray!( believe me, I'd settle for that)

Lake, Glad to hear some positive news. It does a dad good to see all of his sons together for a while. Good for the brothers too.
Keep us posted, we take any little bit of positive news as a little bit of relief.
Hugs...........Lois

Lake,
Time takes time. If you work your program and concentrate on YOU, then both of you will go forward. WHether he stays clean or has to go out and do a little more research, YOU"ll be getting healthier every day.
Just for today, you can enjoy the fact that he's clean, and you are learning more about recovery and boundaries.
Ain't life grand??

((((((Laketime))))) prayers for you my friend...I know how hard it is to have an addicted child. And prayers for your son, that his time is now and that he can beat this horrible disease.
Lake,
It is great news that your AS is still working on his recovery. The best news was he left early and went to a meeting. At least you knew he wasn't running out to use. Keep working on your recovery too, and you both will come out stronger, even if one of you slip it won't be for as long as last time.
Hugs and prayers going out for you and your family

Laketime, glad to hear that your son is making progress. Glad t hear that he has a sevice position. That will keep him committed.
That's what it's all about is having that committment.
My AS is sober, sitting in jail. That's what happens. We all have differnet ways of getting sober....Some Get the Nudge from the Judge.....others get the Nod from God.
