The Call of the Moose
I am heading out very early Wed. morning and will be gone until Sunday sometime...heading up to Mooselip's cottage with that crazy lady from the south, Hangin' In and that lady in her pajamas, CatsPajamas. 
Now, you have to know that getting Hangin' into a boat with those hoopskirts and her bag of grits is no easy feat, and we haven't met Cat yet but I feel like I have known her for years and she's gonna love the retreat at Moose Island on Codie lake.
There will be campfires and picnics at Picnic Island, hikes through the woods and over the rocks to the other side of the island, nights of watching the moon rise (and once more this year it will be a full moon) and gabbing late into the wee hours. Mr. Moose, the world's best BBQ'er doesn't know what he's in for, stuck on an island with 4 Codies, but the man is a saint and will take care of us should any bears appear....or snakes.
There will be tons of pictures and stories.....some of which we will share with you all
So if you wonder where we are, look north....wayyyy north and if you see the moon shaking and the stars twinkling with laughter...you will know it's just us codies having the time of our lives.

Ann, Hangin and Cat, I would say I hope you have a wonderful time but that would be redundant I know you will have a wonderful time. I can't wait for the pictures. The ones from last year were great. Hugs, Marle

Oh, I do love that picture you posted, Ann. Please note I am the one with the fabulous ankles! 
Very much looking forward to face to face time with my soberrecovery sisters. Ain't nuthin' like getting together with gals who have helped me save my life and my sanity. It is a lot about fun, but it is also about being so grateful for getting to spend time with these women who have been there for me, just like so many others of you, when times were/are tough. I am so blessed to have them, as well as y'all, in my life.
And this year it's going to be even greater because Ann reports that she'll be waiting for me as I drive up in the boat with Moose. And word has it she'll be sporting her .... THONG (and I ain't talking flip flops)! Now, you want to talk about a Kodak moment? Bet Playboy will be hounding me for prints!
And bless Cats Pajama's heart. She won't know what hit her. She thinks she's going somewhere and spend time with normal folks.
Just know we'll have y'all in our thoughts and prayers while we're there. And please do leave the light on for us cause we'll be back!

Forget the codie bus. SR has a private jet for special get togethers. Moose said so and I've seen photos of it too. We've taken it to fabulous getaways before. So, I say we get on board and join the Moonstruck foursome the night of the full moon.
Our combined fun and laughter will rock the world friends.
One way or another we'll be there in spirit.

So I am sitting here at the airport, running off to meet my INTERNET friends in a foreign COUNTRY for gawd's sake. My sons think I have lost my mind... I am going off with people I've never met with names like Moose and Hangin... (and Ann, whose name sounds normal, but ya never really know.)
GEEZ mom, at least you're meeting up with other mom types instead of some guy you met on match.com.
I'll let you know how it goes. I have my camera and I intend to get lots of pictures... if I ever hook up with them. It's my plan to wander aimlessly around the airport hollering "MOOOOOOOSE" and see what happens.
The worst case scenario is that they lock me up with the drunks, and I'll just go CODIE on them and fix em all right up.
