Per requests I have received here, here are Atka and Oliver playing together. They play nice and if Atka gets too rough, Oliver hisses at her and she understands.
Still need an assistant to get all of them in one shot (can you herd cats????).....

and one more
This is another one I took. I know they are not pro shots.. snaps really.. but trying to get photos of these two is like trying to take photos of a wraith!
Big Bad German Shepherd with reputation of killing everything... (Hard to believe these dogs can make you pay higher insurance premiums!)
LOL
She REALLY likes Oliver. Follows him everywhere... and he wants her to!

Elana, these are great...I really love the second one..Atka looks like she knows who is boss! I hope Oliver backs off if he gets too much for Atka! And that stance...oh my it just makes me smile ear to ear. Thank you Elana!!

I love to see pictures of these adorable pets. It reminds me of my cat and dog when they used to play with each other. They are both gone now and when I see these pics I have to admit I get awfully tempted. Thanks for sharing.

The thing in the first photo is Oliver is concentrating on the dog and he has his paw on her nose.. claws completely sheathed.
He does not hesitate to sink those very same claws into ME when he plays with me! The fact that he is gentle with her is amazing. She has to be reminded he is a kitten.. not another dog.. and her scale is larger.. but she is getting it. If not I would not get these pictures!

Well, not yet. Last night it was under consideration. Atka laid down and Oliver laid down very close by.
I admit to far more patience with them than with humans... LOL
Last night Atka found a young house wren on the lawn. She did not immediately kill it.. she was pretty gentle actually.. and did "leave it" when I told her to. for a 6 month old dog the fact that she did "leave it" when told AND did not immediately hurt it is pretty amazing.
I doubt Oliver would have been so gentle.
