As if a 6 month old Ge3rman Shepherd is not enough to keep me busy.. I also adopted a kitten. This is Oliver. Naughty is his "trainer" as am I.

One of the things Naughty does is to go to bed under the covers with his head on the pillow. He eventually taught his sister to do the same thing. Well, Oliver catches on to everything very quickly.. and so today when I did nto hear Kitten noise and wondered where ever he had gotten to.. I found this.

Yup. Caught him in the ACT!

And does he ever look sleepy or what? This is what doing catnip will lead to.. a life of sloth in the middle of the morning...

Awww so cute. Ya gotta love them. When Petey is ready for bed, he goes into my bedroom and snuggles himself under the covers. We sure do have some spoiled, pampered babies Hugs, Marle

Oliver moved in and instantly became the alpha in this family. He first got all 4 adulst cats in their place and quickly got the dog to do his bidding.. and of course, they all have me running.

Naughty says, "Cats Rule, Dogs Drool."
Oliver says, "I rule and you all better listen up!"

When I sit anywhere he is instantly in my lap. He is a wiggle, but he is pretty cute and uses this to his advantage..

Well, I need to do a family photo.. ATka and 5 cats.. but to get that to work I absolutey need an assistant!

Herding cats.. now THAT is a challenge. Atka tries with her shpherd breeding but cats don't herd well. I could do it with Photoshop, but that would be cheating... LOL

Oliver is really a great addition as is Atka. Love 'em all the same just expect different behaviors cuz cats live WITH you and Dogs live FOR you.. it is just a different relationship.

Funny thing is I go to the vet and the cats are on leashes and (as she gets better trained) the dog is loose on commands. Each has to get weighed... and everyone will "hop up" and then "have a seat" on the scale to be weighed. Then each goes in the exam room and has to "wait." And wiat they do.. cats and dog.. for Mom to get 'em all together.

I can look at Naughty and tell him "have a seat" and he sits. "Take a Load off" also works.. and cats aren't trainable. Sure they train.. just different methods than dogs.

In my house "Yeessss" and the "clicker" are king..

I will see what I can do about the animalz photo... I suppose if I get the back drop up in the spare room and get the set up maybe I can get someone to assist.... cuz you cannot photograph and herd cats.. the result is half photos of cats.. usually the back half.. in the frame...

Awwww, Oliver is a real cutie!!! I'm waiting for the family photo, they're all so cute but I don't know how you keep them so good.

Toby trained ME. There was no other way that to just let him lead and me follow.

He looks exactly like my Gino. Does he have long fur? I cannot believe the face is the same.

My Gino is funny like your Naughty (great name). When people come in the house he doesn't know, he hides under the bedspread. All you see is a big lump in the bed. He's like a child. You know when a child doesn't want to see you and they cover their eyes, well that's what Gino does. He figures if he can't see you, you can't see him.

He has very short hair. Naughty has a plush coat and is the source of all the cat fur on all the cats in the whole wide world.. YOUR cat's hair comes from Naughty...

Oliver is much more sleek. He is broad chested too.. with cowlicks on his chest.

When XABF lived here and after I moved out of the Crack House (another story.. and NO I nevr used Crack), the 4 cats were a little traumatized about ppl. Naughty was always outgoing with strangers.. would go to them and look at me over his shoulder like, "YOU can be replaced!" However, after the Crack house and Steve, he wasn't much on strangers and would hide under the bed. Lately, however, if I go and get him he starts with the "you can be replaced" routine... so I guess we are BOTH "over" Steve......

P.S. my hub remembers his Granpa's playing cards with chessie on them. Grandpa worked for the railway. Brought back nice memories for him.

Atka is a she and she is prettier than the dog in the photo to boot... LOL

I will try over the next few days to get her and oliver together.. but it is sort of like taking photos of greased lightning....
