Marteen, what wonderful news! The change in you and your family can only be attributed to recovery and working a good recovery program. I am SO happy for you, the Mr. and yours girls.
You know, Marteen, my family members just aren't doing what I want them to do a lot of the time. And I'm realizing more and more each day that I have to be content with what life is even if those around me aren't living their lives up to my standards. I might not like what they are doing, but I have the choice to choose 24 hours of joy or 24 hours of misery. And it looks to me like you have figured that out, too.
Now why in the world we couldn't get this a WHOLE LOT SOONER, well, I don't know. I do know we all get there in our own timing. So glad I've been able to walk this road with you and watch you become a more confident, recovering mom.

oh that is so awesome! Just a tiny bit of recovery in just one person can change the family dynamics... and you've worked hard at this stuff for awhile now!

I am so glad everything went so well for all of you. You give the rest of us hope that we can have a normal relationship with our addict. All of your recovery is shining.

I'm sorry I missed this yesterday, had a bit of a crazy day around here, but I'm so happy for you, Mr M, and the girls (all three of them.) You've all deserved a day like that one, and I'm almost in tears for the fact that it happened on Mr. M's day - it really couldn't have happened for a nicer guy...

Has it really been two years? It seems like just a few months ago, you found out she was pregnant. I must be getting old, time is just whipping by me. LOL

I called AD the day after to tell her we had a very good time. She said she did too and that the grandbaby slept through the whole night, very sound! Gee, I wonder why? I slept good that night, too! lol
