Wow, here is a news story for you

Saw this in the paper today. Happened in Detroit. A 28 year old woman lived with the corpse of her roommate for three weeks so that she could bilk the dead girl's father out of $1600. The dead girl died of an opiate overdose. The police received a tip and went to check it out. Found the girl's body and heroin in the apartment. Can you imagine what the dead girl's family must feel like. What lengths addicts will go to to support their habit. Sad, really sad. Marle

that's disgusting, but mostly sad b/c it does, just like you said, emphasize what an addict will do to stay high.

It isn't only Detroit. I knew of some people out here who kept
their grandmother for sometime after death, to collect the social security checks.

In the Dallas Morning news yesterday the story of a 23 yo SMU student who was found dean ina port-a-pot near Waco the week before. She was from a VERY weatlthy family, got hooked on coke and was last heard from at the dealers the night she disappeared. They have bars around the college that lure the young innocent girls in. Her family issued a statement saying the world would remember her as how she died, but that was not the person she was. Look online and read it, it made me stop and realize again how it could be my daughter. It doesn't matter how much love, money, or ability they have. Once drugs enter, it all changes. I think her name is Stacie, but it was Friday's front page story.

The more I read on addiction, the more I am convinced an addict will do absolutely anything. Nothing is sacred, nothing is too evil.

Amen, Wascally Wabbit. If hell has a name, it's "Addiction".

So sad for the families and the addicts who still suffer.
