faith vs fear

Kids are watching a movie - The Seventh Brother, cartoon with a dog and rabbits that meet each other, become friends and help each other.

One of the rabbits told the other rabbits that his papa once told him that fear and faith can't exist in the heart at the same time.

I have watch this movie many times, as it was one of my daughter's favorites when she was little. I don't remember that sentence catching my attention before the way it did just now.

I think I have found a new slogan to use to remind myself to keep having faith that things will work out, and put fear in the garbage!

I've heard the same thing, and it took me a while to actually pay attention to what it meant.

I love that it's in a cartoon, kids learn from these sometimes.

Hugs

i agree, thats a keeper. i've always been told that the enemy operates out of fear and god operates out of faith, the fear can cancels out faith and faith can cancel out fear.

I heard that slogan at a convention this past spring. I really like it, thanks for the reminder.

i love *faith is fear that has said it's prayers* - it's amazing what we hear when we're open to listening...

An oldtimer in recovery used to say this all the time:

Fear knocked.

Faith answered.

No one was there.

Love in recovery,
