prayers for missing troops
prayers for missing troops
Every day I hear news reports regarding the war in Iraq and its so sad and so overwheming that I tend to tune out reports regarding all the casualties. It seems like such a big problem and so removed from reality sometimes.
I don't know if you've heard about the 3 soldiers who were taken during an ambush near Bagdad on May 12th. One of the privates, 20 yr old Joseph Anzack Jr. (from California) was found dead this week. Two others remain missing. (Byron Fouty, age 19, and Alex Jiminez, age 25)
Fouty is from my community north of Detroit. I never had the privilege of meeting him but I have learned, over the past few days, that Fouty has close ties to several people that I love very much. Everyone who knows this young man is devastated and asking for prayers. And so am I.
I cannot imagine the fear and anguish his family is suffering now but I see so much of it in their faces. My heart aches for them...and for the family of Alex Jiminez and all of our troops and their loved ones.
Im not going to express my political views over the war...they don't matter right now. What matters is that these young men...and all of the young heros serving our country right now, need our support and especially our prayers.
Won't you all please join me in a prayer for them and their families this Memorial day weekend?

I too pray for them. Its soo sad that this has happened to them and with a friend stationed in Afghanistan right now, I worry even more.
Prayers going up for these troops and all troops and their families.

My prayers go out for Fouty and Jiminez and all who love them, and for all the brave young men who are serving their country and freedom by being there.
There are members here with sons and grandsons (and daughters) serving as well, and my prayers go out for each of them also.
God bless them all.

My heart aches for the families and friends of these young men.
Sending my prayers up for all of them who are serving.
I'm so proud of each one of them.
I ask each of you, that when you see a young man or woman in uniform,
go up to them and thank them from the bottom of your heart.
They are risking their lives for all of us, and our freedom.
When acknowledged and blessed, you make their day.

I pray for worldwide peace and reduction of suffering for all humanity every day.
My heart goes out to the families of soldiers in battle everywhere.
Violence is so unneccessary. Love and peace are the only solution.

we were at the racetrack last weekend (were in indy 500 country) it was armed forces day and the kids were enamored by all the helicopters, tanks, etc - the people were all so nice and patient - explaining the seat belts in a blackhawk helicopter to a 2 year old might just get someone sainthood - i was in awe of all these military personnel - and i thanked each and everyone of them - i too will not get into my views but can't imagine the sacrifices asked of them and their families - god bless each and everyone of them...
