Hi all,
This kind of stikes me as being funny.

For the FIRST time in a zillion years...(well actually about 10 years) BOTH of my sons are sober, and guess what?
I WON'T BE HOME FOR MOTHER'S DAY!

I was invited on a girls Spa weekend, up in the hills of Pennsylvania, we're staying in a cabin, (4 of us gals) and then having a whole Spa day on Saturday, and coming home Sunday night.

Talk about irony.
Somehow, it sounds like I have a life.

good for you moose, i'm glad to hear that you are doing something just for you, sounds like a lot of fun, you deserve it. i pray that your sons will continue in their recovery and that you will continue to have times like these and better. keeping all of you in my prayers

Sounds like something loving children would really want for their mom. Go and enjoy without guilt....well, ok... a LITTLE guilt because, Hey... Ann and I did not get an invite.....


.... but don't let that bother you more than every hour or so. Really. We'll be fine. I'll take a bath and PRETEND it is a spa day. Maybe I can run the shower and fill the bathroom with steam and perch on the toilet with my hair in a towel and IMAGINE that Raoul the Spa Boy is out heating up smooth stones for my relaxing massage.

Yep.

We'll be just fine.... but you go and enjoy.

I want a spa day....

I do, I do, I do want a spa day. But, instead, I'll have to live vicariously through yours, so I want a detailed post on how absolutely wonderful it is.

As far as not being home on Mother's Day...you can always let your sons know that you won't be home THAT day, but drop a hint about what days you WILL be home...(to receive gifts, lol)

Hi Diane, Sounds wonderful to me. where in PA will you be? I live in the mts of NE PA, the Poconos are not far from me.
Congratulations on both your sons being sober. I was wondering about that, wonderful Mothers Day gift of itself.................maybe oneday I wil be abel to say the same.

(never been there, can you tell?)

And you all know... I would have invited you in a minute, but I was invited myself, so somehow I thought it would be unetiquette-like to invite another 50 or more gals..

but boy, wouldn't that be fun for us to meet up at a Spa for a day?

I'll look this one over, and see if it meets our high standards....
