Thank you all for the replies. After reading the last ones I am sitting here with a smile on my face. I am leading my meeting on Tues, topic and I think it will be about attitude. Thank you hangin, for the idea. It is a great topic this week. I was ok with turning 50 until this week and then it hit me. I was divorced on my 40th birthday and looked at it as a new beginning. I don't want any more chaos for this birthday. But it is also a new beginning, one just for ME.
Love all of you,

Teke, I feel better now. Haha. Like my mother always said "just be glad you made it to that age." I always loved the other quote, "youth is wasted on the young." How true is that one.

I go through those feelings of not feeling well, tired, depressed. They come and go. That's why I love this site so much. I can come, read and take what I want and leave something if I want.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

I am doing so much better tonight. Had a pretty good day, until I heard I have to work from 9-8 tomorrow. The guy who was to work feel off the wagon after 12 years, and I am the only other one who can do the job. I pray that they don't ask me to work Sat. too.
I'll be back on, on Sat. So until than take care of yourself and I'll see you than.
Hugs to all of you

Sorry I'm late coming in here, but I have been in the same position as you since Monday. I had been trying to stop meds and was doing just fine until several things happened and I went spiraling into a severe depression. Finally starting to feel a bit better, but had a few ideas on "triggers". It snowed that day was a new moon....the mass shootings in VA all happened on the same day. I'm sure these things affect us subconsciously, even if we're not aware of it.
As for getting old...I just turned 55 last month and I feel better about myself every year. That old commercial is true, you're not getting older, you're getting better.
