I don't even read the back stuff, just trust my intuition and it's never failed me, mainly because I have learned to trust it. (or "know' it)
Oh, I did the $1 bill thing, adding 5 zeros and sure enough, I got $100,000...not the way I would have liked it, in other words I have to pay it back, but darn if it didn't work!
BTW, that's where I got my user name :-)
LOL, I was wondering where that name came from!!
I've always used it too, w/out knowing it really. It's funny looking back on my life, I can see when I use it and when I don't.
Big Sis and I were talking about the parking thing, lol, I was saying I never realized that I always get Rock Star parking when I say I will, but when I say Oh gawd, we'll never get parking, of course I don't...

Since I watched the DVD thing some people I know started a little 90 day challenge to see what we could do in 90 days. I've had like 3 success stories so far. Crazy things, one of them was something I've been trying to figure out what to do about for about 2 years now, I owed more and more more on it every month, lol, I ended up making a little money on it....
I have noticed I have to rewatch it every so often, to remind myself.
It's so easy to let all the negative energy back in, and just get negative, or disheartened...

That is awesome about the 100,000. Now you just have to find a way to not pay it back! lol....
I want to get the book too.
Have you seen what the bleep do we know? I heard that is really good too!

what exactly does suboxone do?

so my ah was addicted to oxycontin. (im not sure for how long but probably a few years..and he was actually crushing and snorting it). He was given suboxone by an addiction specialist and is still on it. Its over 1 yr. later. But, he said even with the suboxone he felt sluggish and so he started using cocaine. (that was at least a year ago) And he still does....He takes the soboxone, and does coke. He also is prescribed xanex and was even dabbling in ADHD meds. Oh, and he does ligitimatly take 2 anti-depressants. So, what exactly does the suboxone do? i was told it has an opiate blocker in it... and helps with the withdrawal symtpoms. Does it help with the loss of dopomine as well?
Maybe he has turned to coke because of the lack of dopomine. ?? Either way, he wont admit he has a problem and says he wouldnt go to a treatment center in a milion years. he says he's not "addicted" to coke...he knows what being addicted is, as he was addicted to oxycontin.

Anvil said it best. When my ex & I worked a program, stayed away from the old "friends", did not go into bars & had a life completely different from what we'd known, we stay clean & sober. When my ex thought he could go see his girls who lived next to his old dealer, it was the beginning of the end. When I said I could go into a bar with him & drink Pepsi, it was the beginning of my relapse. Sad to say.....I made it back to recovery. My ex....is back to the "old people, places & things"...because it's the easier, softer way. Why do hard work when you have so many people who are willing to take care of you...give you a place to crash, food when you need it, a car, money, lawyers....& all you have to do is now & again say..."This time it will be different. This time I'm going to stop."

I found words mean nothing....it's the action that I look for.

I hope my as does ok without the suboxone. Like they say you really have to want to quit in order to get sober.

I too read "The Secret" and am trying to keep a positive attitude. A funny regarding "the secret". My daughter couldn't find a prom date so as it was getting closer she said she was going to think positive and a prom date would come to her. LOL. Well, needless to say, about 3 days before the prom her family wound up finding her one. I told her you have to give the secret a little more time, and also you have to do something about it, not sit and wait for something to happen. Haha.

From what I understand, Suboxone is an opiod but not in as high a concentration as Methadone, it also contains an opiate blocker so that even if the A does an opiate, they don't get high from it? I was always under the impression that it was like methadone but not as addictive. Not sure because AS never got far enough in the treatment to wean off. I think mixing coke with Suboxone could be a fatal combination as one is an opiod and one a stimulant? Scary that they take those risks with their very life.

Your AH probably doesn't consider himself addicted to coke because he doesn't get sick from the withdrawals when he doesn't have it....that doesn't mean he's not addicted of course, but most A's justify their drug use even to themselves...
