To all the moms out there I want to give a big hug.
This weekend and seeing reality was pretty tough on me but seeing my MILs pain as two of her children are once again off on a terrible binge, makes me wanna cry even more. We do the best we can with our children but sooner or later, good or bad they make their own choices.

It sucks. Addiction sucks

it is so good that you have your mil's support though, i wished my mil had been more supportive, i don't think that it have to take as long as it does sometimes when we kind of hang on .

Not a Mom.. never had kids.. but I have compassion.
I can not imagine what a parent suffers with their child in active addiction.

I know the pain of having an alcoholic and mentally ill husband and I know the pain of realization that XBF is an addict.
It must be tenfold worse for a parent.

Thanks, cindi. Addiction with any of our loved ones is really hard. With a child, it's a mother's worse nightmare. I always prayed when my AD was a baby that she would never, ever become involved with drugs. It really was a great fear of mine for both my girls since I had two alcholic brothers.
