Teke, I saw this when you 1st posted it and I avoided it like the plague. I realize that it is an exercise in self-acceptance and love so I am forcing myself to sit down and type!

I like my resilience.
I like that I am generally optimistic.
I am a good therapist.
I like that I am willing to start putting my writing "out there".
I like my sense of humor.
I like that I am a good mother.
I like my compassion and ability to inspire.
I like that I am caring.

I like that I made myself do this and now I'm liking that I am going to "post quick reply"!

i think you did good light, i don't know what i was thinking, i guess i got a little bored and.......... walla!!!!!

it was so hard for me to find something about me that i like, so once i typed the first part, my mind went blank. i was stuck cause i realized that i didnt know how to give an example to my own post, soooo use to living my life for others, just don't make no sense to me, today. funny, huh!!!

it's funny, Teke, because it's so easy for me to look for the good in "you" but then when it comes to myself it's always....just because, it's a fluke, etc. This is a great post for the likes of us. Thanks again! Donna

ok, now i know that you guys are not trying to tell me that you can't think of not one good thing you like about YOU. i do understand though, but time to look at you. i tried to avoid the question too, but i realized that i needed to post an example, so i had to come up with something.

its time for you to tell yourself just how special you are to you for a change. we already know.

What do I like about me.....

I have a wicked sense of humor.
I deal my cards straight up.
I am creative.

I am independent, although sometimes too much for my own good. I have a very high pain threshold (which comes in handy when you fracture your knee cap) I am a very straighforward type of person, but I know how to be tactful so as not to hurt feelings. I am focused, if I want something I will find a way to get it. I am trustworthy. I have always paid all my bills on time. I don't take on more than I can handle. I have never had a traffic ticket, parking ticket or any other trouble with the law (knock on wood). And last but not least, to borrow from Dolly, I am a survivor. If my daughter's addiction can't knock me down, I know nothing will. Marle

I realized today that I also like that I'm funny. I make my husband laugh, he says, when he needs it the most. That made me squirm and blush....and I guess it's true!

terri, i think that is the point, a lot of us don't like to talk about what we like about ourselves, its most always about what we can do for someone else. good for you.

Whoops, whoops, this is true. The truth is, I make myself laugh more than others. This morning I played hide-and-seek with the dog, laughing myself stupid while he tried to dig me out from under the blankets. That's more important than doing it for somebody else...!

Coming in very late on this topic, but think you will all appreciate this, and consistent with the topic, of course...
I was supposed to meet Greeteachday, Ohjansie and pjbs55 last saturday. My RAS knew I was meeting them. He sent me the following text msg. that morning:
"Good morning, don't stress about your meeting today. They are all good people and you are a beautiful person. They will in fact adore you."
I was breathless when I read that.
We did NOT meet yet, but are meeting next Sat.
But I'm saving that text message forever. No one ever called me a beautiful person before. And I still cannot thank the universe enough for this wonderful new RAS in my life.
We're meeting next Saturday...hopefully they will agree with RAS :-)

Hard one but I'll give it a try

I like my sense of humor, tho not everyone else does.
I really like my hair, wavy, can make it straight or curly as I like.
I like the fact that I'm great at my job, and that I decided to open my own business this past year, and so far have exceeded my expectations.
I like the fact of being an independent woman.
I like my meetings and the help I get from them.

now i'm just plain jealous, how are you guys pulling this one off? where do you guys meet? i wanna come, hope you all have lots of fun, and since your ras thinks your so beautiful, we'd like to hear what you think about you, too. i am happy that you guys are getting to meet each other, is this the first time?
