Another Follow-up guys to Terrified
 

They ARE admitting her. We do not know where or when, but she is admitted, somewhere. They found the Xanax, the lethal amounts of alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine in her system. Thank GOD that I did not let her come here around my husband with Cocaine and Marijuana.
But the doctors simply told her that she was not getting out. She is safer now then she has been in years. I don't how long they can hold her but it will most certainly be through a medically supervised detox.
I can go cry now that she is safe. Thank you all so much. Could never have made it sanely through the past 12 hours.

that's great - right now she's exactly where she needs to be - god i wish something like that happens to my sister - we can only hope...

I am praying that it comes for you sooner than later too. God really can make all the diferrence.

As long as she is physically too ill or suicidal, she will be in the hospital. Went thru this multiple times with my X husband.

It was actually advised to my husband by mental health professionals that if he ever drank too much and needed to be hospitalized to claim he was suicidal and they would take him in, detox him, and put him on the mental ward. It worked until he had enough attempts to get a judge to commit him involuntarily.

So potentially they could release her come two days from now when she is sober or realizes that she can get out if she just gives the answers they want to hear. She is "pinkslipped" or "red-carded". I do not know what those terms mean, but I know that she can't leave right now on her own volition.

At least she is safe for tonight, and her HP is looking after her. For tonight please take care of you and get some rest. Your HP will look after you too. I will pray that she gets all the help she needs, and you get to rest yourself.
