Surrendering my crisis

Maybe not to God yet, as that is hard for me but I made it to a new Alanon group meeting tonight and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so open and welcoming and the anxiety and anger I felt all day felt a little less potent in my system. I think I found a home group, it just clicked. Thank all of you for your posts. It touches me each time someone replies to one of my posts. I know that there are others out there who relate to how I feel and care. It is an amazing thing. Wishing everyone peace and hope tonight, including willing it for myself as well....

Smile (((booklover)))

Surrender what you can my friend! Isin't it so much easier to lighten your load? Your HP is always there and waiting to take care of you...much like we are with our addicts. We need to decide if we're willing to accept help...just like they are. It is hard, I know...but I hope you'll give it a try. Life can be amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi booklover! "God is like the ocean, you see its beginnings but NOT its end" It's hard to surrender for some people just as it's hard for some to have the courage to to walk into a strange place alone - that's what it is like - Good Luck Booklover.

I am glad that you found a good one that you can be comfortable in. It makes a difference when you have a good first experience. Keep going and see where it takes you spiritually and emotionally.
